Deshon Hall pumped in 17 points and the eighth-ranked Malemutes mauled the second-ranked Grizzlies on Friday for a statement win in Anchorage.

Lathrop improved to 11-1 on the season and beaten two ranked teams in Grace and Barrow.

Hall buried three of his team’s 10 3-pointers as the Fairbanks squad outscored its Northern Lights Conference opponents 30-9 from long range.

Freshman Martel Mitchell chipped in 15 points, aided by 6-for-6 shooting at the free-throw line. Armani Smith and Luke Skinner each added 10 points.

Grace’s Bristol Tobin had 16 points, while Braydon Clarkson and Chris Jones each netted 13. The Grizzlies dropped to 11-3.
